Possible postal strike

Update: I heard that they have postponed the strike notice so it’s all good so far!

In the event of a postal disruption –

Option A: I will try to seek out other methods to get your items to you as quickly as possible. However with the elevated costs of couriers in my area, this may not be possible without being forced to charge shipping to cover their exorbitant rates.

Option B: If you would like an item, but are not in a rush for it, you can simply contact me via Etsy, my website or Facebook, with the item name and/or a link to the item, and I would be more than happy to reserve the item(s) for you. A small non-refundable deposit (via e-transfer) will be required to hold the item. Items under $5.00 will require full payment. The item will then have your name on it and be removed from the shop. Once our postal issues are settled, items will then be mailed out immediately to customers.

(I’m liking option B myself)

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.

New baby stuff

In between working on gifts and commissions, I’ve got some new things added to the shop. The first two nursing cover ups are now available! Included with these firsts, is a matching complimentary burp cloth! The cover ups have a cute heart shaped pocket on the front on center for either left of right handed moms. These sets are $38.00 with FREE shipping.

I’ve got several burp cloths for sale now. These go for $4.00 each with FREE shipping.

On a separate note, I’ve removed the Square page from the website for now. Perhaps it will return once their software improves. Etsy and Square still sync together of course.

What’s new Sept 4 2018

I’m so very relived to no longer be on evacuation alert due to forest fires!

Here’s what I’ve been up despite the forest fire worries:

I’ve just finished a gift quilt for a baby boy who is due to arrive on my mother’s birthday Nov 9. It’s a old friend of my son’s and he is like another son to me so I couldn’t wait to make a blanket for his future little one.

It’s the last baby boy one of this particular panel that I had. The quilting is in a grid style and it is big enough to fit a crib nicely.

I’m working on another “big boy” single bed size quilt for a young man who will be migrating out of his crib soon. This one is commissioned, and this is the second one now for this lady. I’m hoping she likes it as much as the first one.

I’ve been making some more of the large 11 inch bowl cozy’s because they seem to somewhat be in demand.

Also getting into some new things for baby. I’ve got some of those burp cloths or pads in the works, which I think will go for around $4.00 each. Also I’ve made a demo of those breast feeding covers. My daughter in law is expecting so I promised the first one to her. It came out well and I got it mailed off to her today. As time allows, I will add a few of these to the shop. It takes round about a good metre of fabric for those as I make them a little bigger than standard, and D-rings are required for making them adjustable plus boning for the front neckline. So with those costs factored in they may run about $30.00 – $35.00 each. However, don’t forget that I offer FREE SHIPPING on all small items like this. I only charge shipping on the quilts which have some size and weight to them.
