What’s new Sept 4 2018

I’m so very relieved to no longer be on evacuation alert due to forest fires!

Here’s what I’ve been up despite the forest fire worries:

I’ve just finished a gift quilt for a baby boy who is due to arrive on my mother’s birthday Nov 9. It’s a old friend of my son’s and he is like another son to me so I couldn’t wait to make a blanket for his future little one.

It’s the last baby boy one of this particular panel that I had. The quilting is in a grid style and it is big enough to fit a crib nicely.

I’m working on another “big boy” single bed size quilt for a young man who will be migrating out of his crib soon. This one is commissioned, and this is the second one now for this lady. I’m hoping she likes it as much as the first one.

I’ve been making some more of the large 11 inch bowl cozy’s because they seem to somewhat be in demand.

Also getting into some new things for baby. I’ve got some of those burp cloths or pads in the works, which I think will go for around $4.00 each. Also I’ve made a demo of those breast feeding covers. My daughter in law is expecting so I promised the first one to her. It came out well and I got it mailed off to her today. As time allows, I will add a few of these to the shop. It takes round about a good metre of fabric for those as I make them a little bigger than standard, and D-rings are required for making them adjustable plus boning for the front neckline. So with those costs factored in they may run about $30.00 – $35.00 each. However, don’t forget that I offer FREE SHIPPING on all small items like this. I only charge shipping on the quilts which have some size and weight to them.
