I’ve been busy sewing steady lately making some new things for upcoming craft fairs and for the Etsy shop. Next week I will prepare everything for travelling to the Eagles Hall craft fair. It’s a 3 day event which sounds tiring but also sounds like fun!
I was asked about hanging kitchen towels and also about casserole carriers at the last craft fair I did at Christmas time. I am happy to say that I have a few of those items available for the next event! I will have a couple large size tea cozies, and I hope to have more quilts at future events. I am doing all of my free motion quilting on my Janome embroidery machine now a days so those I hope to be something special!
I’m hoping to get into a few fairs that are done more so in Kimberley for fall/winter. I’ve inquired about the “Kimberley Makers Market” which I hope to get in on. Their latest fair was advertised on the local radio station so I imagine the experience a great turn out. I hope to participate in their next fairs as it sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to meet new friends.
Still in the thinking stages but I may even have a small showing at home here this summer!
I’ve changed my “local purchases” page into a page to display items that are only available at the next upcoming craft fairs that I am at. Please visit my new “At the Craft Fair” page to check out the additions and changes. These items are not available at my Etsy shop, but if you want a sneak peek at anything and live local, you are welcome to pop by for a quick browse. Just shoot me an email on what you would like to see via my contact form on site here.
I am excited to announce that I am a confirmed vendor for this upcoming event!

Dates: Friday May 3rd, Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th 2019.
Times: Friday – 4 pm to 8 pm, Saturday – 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday 11 am to 2 pm.
I’m excited to announce that I’ve posted the very first hanging tea towels in my Etsy shop. There are two colours available, brown or white. I found some really cute fabric for the tops that to me look like a giraffe’s coat.
Also I was contacted today by someone about the possibility of doing a spring craft fair in Cranbrook at the Eagles Hall there. It will be the weekend of May 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I will have more info once things are more finalized.
I’ve had some fun playing on little “Cutie-pie” my Singer Featherweight. I made two individual bowl cozies in black and tan and Cutie just plowed through the thickest parts like it was nothing. Very happy with this machine!
I’ve changed out the featured photo for a new style. I’m not sure what all is out there but I came up with this design myself. The gathers are from a pull inside rather than gathering stitches. They just hang on an angle as in the photo. I am also going to make some with the hanging loop in the center for anybody that might prefer that way instead. I’ve got a few more to make yet, just picked up a few more towels. These are fun projects to do!
I am confirmed for the Eagles Hall craft fair in Cranbrook BC. Dates are Friday May 3rd, Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th 2019. Times are Friday – 4 pm to 8 pm, Saturday – 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday 11 am to 2 pm.
Just away at the moment to visit family and see our newest grandson in Alberta! Back on Monday night.
Mug rug and Christmas sections are now merged into the now renamed “Occassionals/Seasonal” section. This is to allow future specials more easily. Don’t forget to check out the Christmas sale this month!
Craft Fair this weekend! One more day! Dec 8th I will be at the Cranbrook Library Christmas craft fair once again. Come out and visit me there if you live in the area. December 1st 2018, Cranbrook Public Library, 1212 2nd Street North.
I’m excited about the craft fair at the Cranbrook library this coming weekend. Should be fun to do.
Update! I’ve committed to the doing the second weekend so I will be there also on Dec 8th!
I’ve added a few more burp cloths to the baby section. Several for boy and girls, and also a couple of gender neutral colours as well. I thought they were the neatest thing when I first saw them. Wished I had some of those when my kids were babies. My oldest was quite projectile to say the least lol.
Like many others I have some Christmas gifts to mail out, so I’m still waiting for the outcome of the rotating mail strike this week.
